Melissa

Melissa de Leon Joseph

Was in a business of entertainment from drama or teleserye, movies to hosting a show in ABS CBN. Worked in different networks and movie outfits like GMA7. Until December of 2006, she was diagnosed with stage 2a Breast Cancer.  Out of the limelight, but now a homemaker to a wonderful husband Ronnie Joseph and children Renzo, Rigo and Rebecca. As a wife and a mother she makes sure home is well and in order. It is what every mother would like for her home to be, making all the members of the family comfortable and happy, a role that she find the best. She actively supports her husbands business, which is importing wines and liquor distributing them in different hotels and restaurants. She and her husband is very much active in church activities, with Christ Commission Fellowship is such a big part of her life and her family.

Angie

Angelita J. Laborte

Angie is a successful businesswoman and a specialist in social and fund-raising activities. She is the Vice President for Finance of GRUPP, Inc., a manufacturing and engineering company and a Director and Corporate Secretary of International Industry, Partners, Inc. She is the Corporate Secretary of Ruth Foundation – an organization for Palliative and Hospice care. Angie is also involved with Habitat for Humanity. She is likewise a founding member of the Palms Country Club Social and Dining Committee.

Dra. Mae

Dr. Rumalie A. Corvera

Dr.Mae is a Family Medicine and Palliative Medicine Specialist. She was the Chief Resident of the Department of Family and Community Medicine – Philippine General Hospital, and furthered into post-residency training in Supportive, Palliative and Hospice Care in the same institution. Her Clinical Attachment was with the Department of Palliative Medicine-National Cancer Center in Singapore. She completed her Post-graduate Diploma in Palliative Medicine from the University of Wales in Cardiff and is presently completing her Masters degree in Palliative Medicine in the same university. In her 10 years of practice, she served as Home Care Physician for the Ayala Alabang Hospice Care Foundation for 3 years and as a consultant of the Hospice of Manila Empowerment (HOME). She is one of the pioneers of the Home Care and Hospice Program of the University of Perpetual Help (Dalta) Medical Center and had an integral role in the set up of the Supportive and Home Care Unit of the Asian Hospital and Medical Center. Her present practice is centered at Asian Hospital and Medical Center where she is the Chairman of the Bioethics Committee, a member of the Cancer Committee, and Consultant under the Department of Occupational and Family Medicinewhere she actively practices Supportive Care and Palliative Medicine in both the home and in-patient setting. Her present passions are in Chairing the Board of The Ruth Foundation for Palliative and Hospice Care and in making sure that her mother in-law, three growing kids (ages 14, 13 and 6) and her husband are happy!

Joy

Jocelyn G. Trinidad

Jocelyn or Joy as she is fondly called by her loved ones received her Broadcast Communication Degree from the University of the Philippines-Diliman. She immediately embarked on an apparent promising career in Advertising, but she put her pursuit of a full-time career on hold when she married her husband Mike in 1987.
 
Blessed with two daughters, Mika and Tintin, Joy now finds utmost fulfillment as a devoted wife and doting mother to her daughters.
 
She has put her entrepreneurial skills to good use together with her discerning eye for interior design and construction, but she now focuses on using her experience as a Stage 0 cancer conqueror to help others in their cancer journey. As one of the co-founders of Project Pink Cancer Support Group, she works together with the other core members to bring to fruition Project Pink’s goals and aspirations to help smoothen the ride of others in their battle with cancer.

Veck

Maria Victoria G. Arjona

Veck is happily married with four children. Market research, business & human resource management are among her expertise. She loves to travel and at present she manages her own travel Agency (VGA Travel Services ) located at Parañaque. Her cancer journey inspired her to be an advocate of early detection of breast cancer. She is involved with various volunteer works for the said advocacy and participates in other socio civic related activities.

Mel

Ramel R. Aguasin

She is a wife to a responsible husband, Toti and a mother to 3 professional children- Paoton, Marla and Mau. She is presently the Vice President / Treasurer of Areopagus Corporation which she and her husband established for their franchise business. For 29 years she worked with the various subsidiaries of Philippine National Oil Corporation like Petron and PNOC Energy Development Corporation. She rose from the ranks from Junior Auditor , Accounting Supervisor, Treasury Supervisor, Treasury Manager, Administrative Systems and Disbursements Manager, Audit Manager and Senior Manager for Supply Management. She was diagnosed with breast cancer stage 2A in August 2007 but by God’s grace, this did not stop her in doing the things that she like- managing her home and business. She also enjoyed slow long distance running, reading, dancing and watching movies.
